Blackboard Building Block Role Mapping Configuration:
Based on the Institution Role of a Blackboad user, one needs to map that role with one of the five roles listed for Kaltura, (i.e. Student in Blackboard is mapped to a Learner in Kaltura)
Defining the Role of a Kaltura users permissions in KAF:
Once the role is mapped in the building block one can change the role permissions in KAF. For Reach to allow approval of pending caption requests the kmsRole must be set to either adminRole or unmoderatedAdminRole.
In the following screenshot the Blackboard admin created a Caption Institution Role in Blackboard and mapped that role to Mentor in Kaltura. Within KAF, screenshot below, they changed the kmsRole to be adminRole. This now allows any Blackboard user assigned the Caption role to be able to approve caption requests.
